I’ve stayed here on and off for about 2 years while working away on the mines, and I’m always happy with my stay. The staff are great people and I get along well with them. It’s in a perfect spot, walking distance to everything, but far enough away to stay peaceful and quiet. Secure parking is available if you need it. I always leave positive reviews on booking.com because I’m happy here.

I was two rooms down from the hotel guest causing a commotion in the previous review. Once the manager and staff understood how seriously the disturbance was affecting everyone, they addressed the complaints promptly and asked him to leave. The manager handled it very well and professionally, putting guests’ comfort first. People can be unpredictable and intimidating, so thank you for looking out for everyone and dealing with it head-on. One spoilt apple can affect any situation, but I didn’t see it as a bad reflection on the hotel. I couldn’t disagree more with that earlier review: the rooms matched their booking descriptions and suited me perfectly for a week plus the extra couple of days I booked after arriving. All the staff were fantastic, friendly, helpful and accommodating. The location in the heart of Fremantle is brilliant, a 5 minute walk to the cbd, with restaurants, supermarkets and cafes close by. The attached restaurant and bar are a great bonus. Rooms and facilities were comfortable and easy to use, just right for crashing after a big day out. I’ll definitely be back and would recommend it to anyone wanting to explore Fremantle and the surrounding areas at a great price.

The room was much better than I expected for the price. The communal bathroom was clean and tidy, and the beds were very comfortable. It was quiet day and night. There’s secure parking for guests, modern secure entry and room access, a communal lounge, and security cameras everywhere. I’d definitely come back.

The communal kitchen was basic, and the shared bathrooms were passable, though some residents left used razors, toothbrushes, toiletries and towels behind. Rooms are on the 1st and 2nd floor with no lifts, and they smelled musty. There was an informal homeless site right next to the hotel. The windows didn’t seal, so cigarette smoke drifted in from the street. Noise from bar patrons was significant, as was the sound of trains on the tracks.

For an old building, it wasn’t too bad, and the facilities were well maintained. The women's bathroom was recently renovated, and basic instant tea and coffee are available in the common area. Noise from outside and the bar downstairs does die away at some point.
