The rooms were good, and the setting made for a genuinely lovely stay. The receptionists were polite, too. Our small cottage was great, but it got quite hot at night without air-conditioning in the bedrooms. That was a bit hard on our toddler.

We enjoyed the fire pits and the tennis court, though the court lights cost 25AUD, so playing after dark gets expensive if you don't get your tennis in during the day. Cottage no 3 had its own fire pit and bbq away from the other cottages, but the family room felt cramped, with a double and a single bed squeezed in, and the decor was dated. They also had bugs in the bathroom. We stayed in cottage no 2, which was spotless, though I found the en-suite room freezing. Nobody else had that issue, so maybe it was just me. Its fire pit looks onto the shared square, so cottage no 3 is a better pick if you want privacy. The place is clean and centrally located, and we did enjoy our family stay. Still, we paid 550aud a night for the large 2 bedroom cottage, and it only feels large compared with the smaller cottages. For that price, I don't think it was worth it. We booked at the last minute, but I'd suggest looking for somewhere cheaper. I'd come back, just not at the rate we paid.

We had a brilliant weekend in the Hunter Valley. The place was clean and well equipped, and the staff were friendly and very helpful. It's centrally located for the attractions, and there's also a great room with disabled access. I'd happily recommend it to singles, couples and families, and would definitely return.

We came here to get away from the chaos of Sydney, and the place was just right for recharging and relaxing. It's in the middle of wine country, with Aldi, Woolies, Maccas and the rest only a 10min drive away. The cabins are well maintained, the grounds are beautiful and the staff are friendly. Fantastic trip, we'll be back 🍷😉🤙
