The Vintry

The bed was comfy and the little body products were nice, but the tiny bathroom was so dark, with just one small mirror. The aircon didn’t cool the place on the hot day we stayed, and we were terribly uncomfortable. We ended up going somewhere else to get ready for dinner. It’s cute and modern, but very tiny, basically a square caravan. It also felt more remote than I’d expected, and the composting toilet was an interesting experience. I’d avoid staying here on a day when you’re relying on aircon to keep comfortable.

After Greg confirmed our booking, we arranged transport to the Hunter region. Then he cancelled, leaving us stranded. With COVID making it incredibly difficult to find alternative accommodation, our holiday was ruined. Greg communicated poorly about the cancellation and made no effort to help our group. I wouldn’t recommend vintry to the public or to my friends. If I could give zero stars, I would.

Greg terminated our legally binding sale contract after we’d made our holiday plans, causing serious disruption. It seemed to happen after he received a better offer to lease his property. He called it a failed transaction but made no effort to resolve it. I wouldn’t recommend doing business with Greg. I found him untrustworthy and felt he showed poor regard for ethics and his customers.

The place was so unhygienic that we couldn’t stay. There was an old, used earbud or Q-tip, ants, extremely dirty pillows, unvacuumed carpets and rubbish on the floor. When we contacted Greg Mincher to ask for a refund, he was rude and unhelpful. He verbally abused us, made threats and suggested he’d been following us. Somehow, he knew which cinema we’d gone to and what movie we saw. It felt creepy. Do yourself a favour and stay away. The facility was dirty, and the owner was even worse.
