David and Michael made us feel genuinely welcome, with a real sense of hospitality. The rooms were comfortable and well appointed, and it felt like every want had been anticipated. Set in an idyllic, tucked-away corner of Clare just off the Riesling trail, this is a wonderful Bed and Breakfast. If David offers dinner, don’t pass it up. We enjoyed the gourmet offerings and can’t wait to return.

Thorn Park is a destination in itself, and we had a memorable time there. The three suites are comfortable and well appointed, and the shared spaces are anything but common. There are plenty of comfortable places to sit inside and out, plus extensive book cases with an eclectic mix of books. You can find a quiet corner or spend time with the other guests, whichever you prefer. David and Michael make you feel at home and spoilt from the moment you walk in the welcoming front door. Conversation is easy and interesting, the atmosphere relaxed, and the meals magnificent. David’s imaginative evening meals and breakfasts were always delicious. Indulge yourself.
