Aurora Cottages

Saku made everything easy and even filled the fridge with breakfast basics: bacon, eggs, bread, juice, and fresh milk. The cottage had a lovely kitchen, huge spa bath, very comfortable bed, pay TV, and good heating and cooling. We stayed in the six seasons and had everything we needed. It was quiet and relaxing, with the cottages set apart enough for privacy among the Aussie bush, kangaroos, and wallabies. Thanks again, we’re already looking forward to another visit 😊

Saku was wonderful and managed to find us a place at very short notice for our wedding anniversary weekend. We had an amazing stay at the Mountain view cottage and would gladly recommend it for a quiet, romantic break. We’d definitely come back for another holiday.

The bush and wallabies right near the back door made the location feel private, and the cottage is spacious. We were glad the wood fire had already been lit when we arrived. At $330/night for a '5 star luxury retreat', though, I expected much more care. The cottage feels run down: broken shower tiles, a spa bath dial stuck on full blast, a broken rope on the rear staircase, an old branch across the rear walking path, exposed irrigation pipes, and dying plants. Cleaning and details were also lacking. There was toothpaste on the sink vanity, tissue on the floor, dirty dishes, a burnt-out candle by the spa, a poorly fitting sheet, and no bathroom hand towel. The website also needs updating because breakfast food isn’t provided. For less money I might not have minded so much, but this was an extremely rare splurge for me. I hope the owners address these things, since the place has real potential to live up to its advertising.

A peaceful, beautiful spot. The room was great, with a king bed and a huge spa. They left eggs, bacon, and bread for breakfast, and kangaroos greeted us in the morning.
