The room was decent, but the Wi-Fi seemed to disappear for four days. Even taking a shower tested my patience, like I had to negotiate with the water. Maybe that was just my room, or maybe it’s part of the “experience.” They also expect the place to be spotless, which is a bit of a stretch when you're left cleaning with imagination and good intentions.

The rooms were spotless and the location was excellent. Gary, the owner, was very friendly and gave us lots of useful information about what to see and do nearby. I wouldn't hesitate to book again.

The units are immaculate and thoughtfully laid out, with plenty of power points and USB sockets. The beds were just right, firm but comfortable, and the modern kitchen and bathroom were pristine. Gary also let us charge our EV overnight. We paid him for the extra power even though he said we didn't have to. My wife, mother in law, niece and I stayed in autumn to see the leaves. Gary and Juliena were very friendly and went out of their way to make us comfortable. We asked for tea and coffee refills and spare towels, which they don't usually provide, but they were happy to help. Next time we'll remember to bring our own. The location is superb, with a lovely track at the back down to a swimming spot on the Ovens river. The view of Mt Buffalo is to die for, and the autumn colours in Porepunkah were 10 times better than Bright or anywhere else we've been.

The views are amazing and the owners went above and beyond to make our family feel comfortable. The BBQ area is set up so well and made things easy for us. We’d happily stay here again if we come back this way. Thank you for making us feel welcome. Highly recommended.

The creek was such a lovely walk, and our son made the gaming room part of his daily routine with darts and table tennis. We also got good use out of the BBQ area. The beds were comfy, the views were amazing, and the owners went out of their way to make us feel welcome and comfortable. A great family getaway, and we'd happily stay again if we're back this way.
