NRMA Port Arthur Holiday Park

After a day walking or sightseeing, it was lovely to return to a quiet, relaxing park. It's close to lots of beautiful places, including Cape Raoul, Mt Brown and Historic Site, while still feeling peaceful. Joseph and the rest of the crew were welcoming from the moment we arrived, always helpful, and genuinely kind. My only small suggestion is that a little more shower time would make the stay even better. Love Claire Jimmy & Jacob

We had a blast here for three days, staying on a non-powered site with two adults and two kids. It was handy being near the bathrooms, kitchen and common areas, and the facilities were clean and well kept. There was heaps of room for the kids to play and ride bikes, with a pump track, playground and small bouncy castle. It's a great family spot for BBQs, marshmallows over the fire and a relaxing drink. You can also make pizza if you book a time at reception when you arrive. They sell ice and ice-cream, too. Plan ahead and use the park map to book one of the prime spots, since reception can sort out your needs in advance. The location is close to boat ramps, the Penitentiary, Remarkable cave, safety cove and lots of other places. Wildlife is everywhere, and if you're lucky, Rosella parrots may come looking for seeds.

The dryers were fantastic, my clothes came out dry first go. We booked two nights, though one would probably have been enough, and it happened to be windy. It's a bit isolated from pubs and restaurants, but there's easy access to PArthur historic site, which took us four hours max to get around. We could have moved somewhere else, but ended up sitting back and enjoying the breeze.

The Stargazing Safari tent was a lovely, charming place to stay, with plenty to see through the window. The beach is only a short five minute walk away, and there was loads of wildlife around. Josef at reception was sweet and clever, and always made us smile. We loved being here.
