The beds were nice, and it was handy having a walking trail connected to the motel and a swimming pool. The service was good too. The one thing that felt odd was having to wash the small plates and cutlery we’d brought in the bathroom sink with body soap. A little sink in the kitchen area would help. Otherwise, no complaints, really lovely motels.

The Indian curry mix from the restaurant was genuinely the best Indian food we’ve had in ages. Our stay at Standpipe was fantastic too. The room had plenty of space for three of us, with basic things like a kettle, tea, fridge, soap, shampoo, and conditioner, and it was clean. Staff were kind and professional. It was quiet, and parking right outside our room was easy.

On the way back from Port Lincoln, we chose the Standpipe after a disappointing motel on the way there, and it turned out to be a good choice. Our room was spotless, quiet, and comfortable. We also ate in the restaurant, set in a lovely old homestead-looking house. They serve delicious Indian food as well as local Australian dishes. We’ll certainly stay at the Standpipe Motel again.

We’d heard good things about this place, and it lived up to them. The staff serving our table yesterday gave us great service, and the food was great too. It was one of the best Indian cuisine experiences we’ve had in a while.

This place is crap and sooooo dated. It might have been great 10 years ago, which is why we booked, but I don’t know how it got its rating. There aren’t any recycling bins or charging ports, the TV is old and basic (though it does have a remote), the bathroom is mouldy, and there are dead plants. Bunnings has moved in next door too. It’s OK if you’re only there one night.
