The reception staff were lovely and so willing to help, and the location was excellent. But the rooms felt very dated and, apart from the clean bed sheets, the place didn't feel clean. The cockroach bait by the bathroom sink was full of insects, the sliding door and shutter tracks in the living room were filthy, and the daybed couch didn't seem clean either. We had a two-bedroom room for two adults and two kids, and the general sense of uncleanliness was hard to ignore.

The service from Gisela and the team was the best I've had from an accommodation provider. They made our stay in Port Douglas feel perfect. The room was spacious, freshly renovated and had everything we needed, despite the dated exterior. We especially liked having a kitchenette outside on the balcony, where we could eat breakfast overlooking the garden. It was also excellent value and in a great location. This was my third visit to Port Douglas, and the best place I've stayed there.

We had a magical stay, thanks again to the team. The grounds were lovely, the room was brilliant and the pool was exceptional. Reception and maintenance were so accommodating, especially Mitchell, who was a superstar. We loved it and hope to come back soon after the renovations are finished.

We've been coming back since the early 90s and plan to keep doing so. Club Tropical Resort is right in the centre of beautiful Port Douglas, about 500 metres from four mile beach, and has spacious, clean rooms with a few different layouts to choose from. The staff and management team are amazing, always quick to sort out any service needs or issues. Gisela is especially attentive, professional and friendly. Highly recommended.

This was our first week in Port Douglas, and Club Tropical made it a memorable one. The resort has lovely rooms and a beautiful pool, with great views and a central spot where you can walk everywhere. The customer service stood out from the first phone call to the goodbye wave. Gisela made us feel so welcome, and Angie, the new team member, already shows the same lovely service. We felt like old friends, not just a number. Keep it up, Club Tropical!
