Hibiscus Resort & Spa

The pools, BBQ, other services, and staff were all great, and from here it's an easy walk to most things in Port Douglas. We stayed four nights and really liked the location. The unit, though, felt too small for two adults and three kids, especially for the price. The kitchen was tiny, with wires and lights exposed above the bench. The bathroom was small too, and the shower over the bath had terrible pressure. It wasn't suitable for a family of five, and the whole unit felt like it needed updating.

Being a returning guest at Hibiscus Resort, I've never been disappointed. This time we stayed in Unit 7, which was clean, spacious, and welcoming, with lovely decor. Tropical plants surround the unit and make it feel like another world. The nearby pools were clean and inviting. The resort is peaceful and relaxing, and the location makes it easy to walk to the beach, shops, and marina. Management were always available for questions and suggestions on where to eat and what to do. Thanks for making our holiday so enjoyable and relaxed. I'd definitely recommend it to family and friends.

The Bali themed pools and rooms were fab, and the location is brilliant. We stayed for two weeks and loved it. The staff were especially fantastic and helpful. 100% recommend!

We've visited twice in the past 12 months, most recently in December 2024, and both stays were great. The Balinese inspired property feels so peaceful and gives the place a real tropical feel. People even thought we were in Bali when they saw our photos. We had a deluxe two bedroom dual key pool view apartment both times. There was plenty of space to relax, and the kitchen had what we needed to make meals if we wanted to stay in. We also made use of the outdoor BBQ and dining area for an easy meal. There are two pools, so neither felt overcrowded, with plenty of room to relax by the water. Parking is plentiful too if you have a car. Getting around was easy, with the main street, restaurants, shops, and a Coles supermarket all within walking distance. The team communicated really well before, during, and after our stay, including clear after hours check-in details and updates about roadworks affecting the drive to Port Douglas. Mitchell and the team made everything comfortable and effortless. They even booked a sunset sail for us, which was a highlight. We were also lucky to receive a $100 dining voucher for a local restaurant, which we really enjoyed and appreciated. Thanks, we'll absolutely be back next year. Lisa, Lachlan & Taylah
