After an eight-hour drive, we went straight to shower and found the soap hadn’t been refilled for our family of four. There was no room service or in-room phone to ask staff for help. The room had only disposable cups, plates, and cutlery, which was surprising and inconvenient for a family. The bedding was the worst part. The blanket was loose between two white sheets, with nothing to secure it. The sheets came apart during the night, leaving us directly against the blanket. It looked very clear that the white sheets were changed between guests but the blankets were reused without washing. That felt extremely unhygienic. The air-conditioning flap was broken and blew cold air only onto one bed. Our child had to sleep facing away to keep it off her face. We were also met on arrival with the racially offensive comment, “Do not cook curries in the room.” As an Indian family, we found that shocking and unacceptable. For the price during the Christmas period, this stay wasn’t worth it, and we wouldn’t recommend the motel.

Finding motel accommodation with wheelie walker access has been so hard during our month travelling around NSW, and this was our best stay yet. The room was very clean, easy for our 92-year-old mother to move around in, and the bathroom had rails by the toilet and shower. The staff were friendly too.

The room was a little cramped, but very clean, and the beds were really comfortable. Staff were friendly and I have no complaints. For a three-star motel, it was good value for a family travelling on a budget.

The curtains let in too much light, which was a problem for me on night shift, and the bed was a bit uncomfortable. Otherwise, it was very good. There’s a little courtyard and a nice pool.

That was the rudest, most arrogant service I’ve had the displeasure of dealing with. They took my number, so why didn’t they call when I didn’t turn up yesterday? He acted as if he knew better than I did what I’d supposedly said. No!
