The Roozen Residence

We had a wonderful weekend here while visiting our son and daughter from the UK, and it was a perfect way to celebrate our ruby wedding anniversary. I'd highly recommend it. The ocean views are breathtaking, and the place has a real wow factor. Five stars hardly does it justice. The amenities were fantastic, everything was immaculately clean and well maintained, and it was very well equipped.

This was our second getaway to The Roozen Residence in Prevelly, and it became a memorable favourite for our time down south. The owners were welcoming and made booking easy. We came with my daughters and their newborn twins, and all of us loved it. From the path to the front entrance, the home already feels opulent. Inside, it's immaculate and has everything you need. The open-plan living area is spacious and comfortable, with a huge, completely private balcony over the hilltop and seemingly endless views of the Prevelly coastline. You can see the ocean from the large king-size bedrooms and bathrooms too, which is spectacular from bed. The gorgeous kitchen has everything needed to cook for the family. It was a very cold weekend, but the efficient heating and underfloor heating kept us all warm. We could relax, enjoy the views and spend quality time together.

The hosts were very responsive, even posting back some clothes we left behind. The house has everything you could imagine, including a telescope for watching surfers. Roozen Residence is a remarkable beach house, with incredible views from the deck across the bay to the main surf spots. Magic!

The house sits on a hillside in tiers, so it isn't suitable for wheelchair users. Prevelly beach is an easy 10-minute walk, and Gnarabup beach, with safe swimming and the White Elephant Cafe, is another five minutes along. There's also a cafe down the road. Inside, the living, dining, and kitchen areas are roomy, with comfortable, high-quality furniture and appliances. All the bedrooms are a good size. The main one has an ensuite with a walk-in shower, while bedrooms two and three share a bathroom with a shower over the bath. There’s a step up to the bath. The house and gardens were kept in great condition, and every room has panoramic ocean views. The owner was easy to reach and very helpful. A fantastic house on the hill above Prevelly. Highly recommended.
