AAA Granary Accommodation

The property seemed to have a lot of potential, which made its poor condition a real shame. We stayed in a three-bedroom cabin, but so many things were neglected that I wouldn't recommend it. The sofa sank so low it felt like sitting on the floor, and many kitchen utensils were too rusty to use. Outside, the cubby house steps were broken and dangerous. The game and gym room also felt unsafe: weight machines were broken, the pool table had just one cue, the trampoline was broken, and neither the spa nor sauna worked. The provided bicycles were rusted and unusable.

We had a great time and would happily come back. Dad's cottage was just what we'd expected, and our host was lovely, with plenty of helpful information. The gorgeous cows kept us entertained, and there was lots of other wildlife around too.

The area and views were lovely, and there were three friendly asses and a friendly Highland cow. The horse and the other Highland cow were a bit antisocial. Check-in was easy: we drove up, were met outside reception, and shown to Rose cottage. The appliances were fairly new and worked, but the roof paint was peeling. The listing advertised fast Wi-Fi, though off peak I was lucky to get 10 Mbps. The electric blanket in the bedroom with the ensuite couldn't be used because its lead was split. I mentioned it to my trip planner, though I'm not sure whether they passed that on. The disrepair brought the stay down for me.

After a lovely day exploring Cradle Mountain, we spent the evening playing board games and laughing our hearts out. Later, we stepped outside and the sky was filled with countless stars, absolutely breathtaking and unforgettable. We stayed in this lovely Airbnb near promise land, a cozy two-room villa with a charming 90s vibe that made us feel right at home. It was an absolute gem!
