The food was amazing and the place felt really homey. I loved the beautiful pool table and got to meet some lovely fellow customers too. I usually hate travelling alone, but the owners welcomed me as soon as I walked in, and I felt safe. They're lovely people with beautiful smiles and good conversation. I'll definitely be back :)))

The meal was bloody beautiful, snags and veggies, and I had a couple of beers with it. There were three staff members in the pub, all friendly as hell, and they were having a great time with the customer ahead of me. Seeing that made for a great atmosphere. It was a really great night, and next time I'm in that area, I'll stop in again, mark my words.

I made the booking through Booking.com, which didn't ask for advance payment, and planned to pay at the property. The owner rang asking me to pay beforehand. Since I'd booked through Booking.com and was wary of scams, I asked him to send the payment request through the site so I wouldn't have to share my details with a stranger. My reservation was then cancelled. Disgraceful!

The host was friendly, the beer was cold and the food was great. The room was decent for an old pub. I stayed one night and would stay again.

It's a great little town, and the old school pub has budget rooms that are great value. The place is massive, so even with plenty of guests it can feel like you're there by yourself, lol. The owners are great blokes, easy to get along with and always willing to help. Staff are amazing too. I'll be coming this way a couple of times a year for the next few years, and I love it here. Just ring the pub or turn up instead of booking online, it's much better for them. They're great people 😉
