Reef Gardens Motel

The beds were comfortable, the room was clean and tidy, and the kitchen had everything we needed. It was surprisingly quiet despite being right on the Bruce Highway. The new owners had only just taken over while we were there.

I won't be staying here again. The room wasn't very clean, there were no lamps, and the linen was old. When I asked for the towel that was missing, I was made to feel as if its absence was my fault. I was also expected to do the dishes despite paying good money for the room. The reception lady was extremely rude and surly, and her husband wasn't much better. Awful experience.

After a long day on the road, this place was easy to find and good value. Our dog friendly room was lovely and very clean, with a freshly remodelled bathroom and kitchenette. The owners were friendly too. I'd happily recommend it.

We'd booked a room for three, just wanting a clean, quiet place for one night. Instead, there was hair from people and animals, bodily fluids, insects both dead and alive, and food in the beds. The whole room and beds were filthy. We politely asked the owners for clean sheets and even offered to change them ourselves, but they responded aggressively and rudely, then told us to leave. This was Easter Sunday, late at night, with nowhere else available to stay.
