We went for Mother’s Day dinner and left disappointed. The advertised two course roast included lamb that seemed to have been kept warm from the lunch sitting, served in a bowl. By dessert, they’d run out of chocolate mousse and couldn’t offer anything else from the menu, so we were given a Dixie cup. Other local diners we spoke with said their meals and service had been the same as ours. Definitely avoid if you’re hoping for a nice dining experience.

It wasn’t that busy, but the meals still came out unevenly. Two arrived first and were almost finished before the other two showed up, cold and not very appealing. Dessert was forgotten too. We won’t be back or recommending it.

For $77, I expected more than we got at lunch. My partner’s small, dry parmi came with a seafood topper that wasn’t very good, and cost an extra $15. Mine was a tiny rump with potatoes and sour cream that weren’t good, and no salad. We were very disappointed and won’t return. Next time we’ll go to Airlie Beach. 1 out of 10!

We were six adults and four kids there on Christmas Eve, and the kids’ meals were a real hit. They were generous portions and all four kids nearly cleaned their plates. The adults were impressed too. I had chicken schnitzel with a surf ’n’ turf topper, and the crumb was really good. The menu was extensive, the staff were friendly and efficient, and the Christmas holiday deal meant the kids ate free, with a drink and ice cream included. We hadn’t expected that. Parking’s out back or on the street. We’ll be back.

We stopped for lunch and had two serves of fish, chips and salad. Delicious, and I’d definitely recommend eating here.
