The setting is beautiful, but there’s no soundproofing, Wi-Fi, or network coverage. I could hear the person next door snoring heavily, so getting to sleep was impossible.

A lovely place to camp, with great views and bathrooms that were super clean.

The lake and the quiet surroundings were lovely, and we saw plenty of wildlife, including kangaroos. Selwyn Snow Resort is only a 25-minute drive away, which worked well for our three-night family stay in a log cabin with our toddler. The cabin wasn’t luxurious, but it was very clean, had everything we needed, and stayed warm with the heating, so it was excellent value for snow accommodation. The staff were really helpful too. We brought food and self-catered, except for one evening in the shared lodgings meal hall. Stefania and Francesco were the lovely chefs and staff there, and the Italian feast was superb. It was a three-course meal at excellent value, with food that felt like top restaurant quality. If we hadn’t already packed our own food, we’d have eaten there every night. We’re very grateful Providence Park gave our family an affordable alternative for a snow trip.

Julie at reception went out of her way to help us with a few extra things, which was a lifesaver. The weather was great, and my family loved the cabins. They were cool, comfy and cozy, with everything we needed. It was a perfect spot for the kids, and we had an awesome time.

The property is well kept, the rooms are super comfy, and there’s an open kitchen. Breakfast was a really good buffet with lots of vegetarian choices. We had an excellent lake view from our room, and you can also see it from the dining area. Every staff member we met went out of their way to help. It feels like one of the best kept secrets near the Snowy Mountains. The outdoor areas were very dark at night, so I hope they’ll install some lights. It’s also a bit far from the Perisher and Thredbo ski resorts, about 130 km away.
