Grand Manor Motor Inn - Queanbeyan

The staff were so friendly, welcoming and helpful, especially Jodi, who runs reception. My room was cleaned daily and fresh towels were always provided. The location made it easy to get everywhere we needed to visit in Canberra. I'd definitely stay again if we come back.

Cleanliness didn't seem to be a priority. The fridge hadn't been cleaned, a three bed room had only one set of cutlery, and five of the eight light bulbs didn't work. The windows were never cleaned, the door lock was barely attached to the wall, and mould covered the shower.

This is a dependable motel. The car park was full every night of my week long stay, but the rooms were nice, the bed was comfortable, and the cleaners and front desk service were great. They helped even when I had to change rooms because of a neighbour. I'd recommend it for a straightforward stay.

We booked after being assured by phone that wheelchair accessible accommodation was available. The receptionist told us to book through Booking.com, which we did. On arrival, though, we found the room wasn't wheelchair accessible. My partner could get into the room, but couldn't use the toilet or bathroom at all. It was a long weekend, so finding somewhere suitable nearby was very difficult. We were told to cancel through Booking.com and that the motel would refund us once it was confirmed. We followed those instructions and still haven't received the refund. We couldn't stay because the accessibility wasn't as promised, and ended up paying for two accommodations for four nights, leaving us significantly out of pocket. We've called several times and keep being told “the message will be passed on to the owners.” We were also told other guests are still waiting for refunds. Very disappointing. Accessibility should be taken seriously, and refunds should be processed promptly when the accommodation can't be used as promised.
