Discovery Parks - Rockhampton

I’m local, and before booking I’d had a day from hell. When I called, I had a bit of a rant and a cry, and she booked me a room straight away and told me to come over. The staff gave me the warmest welcome. They’d heard about my sook and went out of their way to be kind, welcoming and human. After another cry and as many thank-yous as I could manage, I went to my room. It was so clean, homely and beautiful, with plenty of towels and cosy blankets. I didn’t have to ask for a thing, even with my two kids in tow. My toddler is autistic and usually feels very uncomfortable in new places, but this one was fun, inviting and exciting for him. I didn’t expect him to sleep, but he did. My six-month-old had a comfortable night too. I can’t recommend it enough. If I ever need somewhere to go, I’m coming here. Thanks to everyone there. I appreciate it so much.

The staff were polite and helpful, and the whole place was very clean. We stayed a few nights while travelling, and the kids loved the waterpark and the good roads for riding bikes. The pools are great too. It’s a really good family park, recommended for everyone. Congrats to the team, good work.

We’ve now stayed at the park twice, and Greg has been fantastic both times. Everyone on staff has been incredible, and Discovery Rockhampton has become our favourite stop because of them. On Boxing Day, we needed a last-minute booking, and Greg went above and beyond to find us a site, store our van and make everything run smoothly. He was incredibly friendly and helpful. There was no Wi-Fi in the cabins, despite it being listed as a park feature. The cabins had marks on the walls and blinds, dirty skirting, and mould in the bathroom drain. The maintenance guy was stand-offish and accusatory. Don’t call him dude, his ego can’t handle it. The ladies at reception were lovely enough as a first point of contact, but anything beyond that felt like a complete waste of money. I wouldn’t recommend staying here.
