Diane was a pleasant, very helpful host, and the motel was lovely and clean. The room wasn’t huge, but it didn’t feel cramped. Pubs and restaurants were an easy walk into town.

We had a tough weekend on the road while our car was being repaired, so we’re very grateful they let us stay with our two biggish dogs and extended checkout to noon. The staff were lovely, and our room was clean, comfortable and nice. I like the tidy grounds and maintained gardens, and there’s a stand where you can buy cold drinks. The towels were very clean, though they smelled too strongly of bleach.

The lady who runs the place was super lovely and made check-in easy. We enjoyed the hot shower, having Fox to watch the footie, and being within easy walking distance of the best pub in town. We’d definitely stay again.

The room was already dirty when I arrived, with rubbish under both beds and dirty clothes under one from a previous guest. During the day, staff went through my room and belongings while I was out. Then cleaning staff came to my door two hours before checkout, rushing me to leave because they needed to clean. They also shouted at children about breakfast biscuits on the floor, which I was about to pick up when they came in. Horrible service, and I wouldn’t recommend staying here. I’ve had better experiences at the other motels I’ve tried in Roma.

There are plenty of food options nearby, and the location is great. My room was comfortable and clean. 5/5, I’d return to Mandalay if I’m in Roma again.
