Amber made me feel welcome straight away, and all the thoughtful little extras really stood out. My room was spacious, with a king size bed, lots of storage and a sitting area with comfy chairs. The lounge and dining area were warm and beautifully furnished. I loved relaxing by the log fire with the complimentary muscat and cheese platter. Breakfast was generous, beautifully cooked and presented. The location made it easy to get to the local shops and eateries on the main street. I spent two nights at Amberesque and was blown away by the experience.

Amber has put so much of herself into Amberesque. She takes real care to make a stay in Rutherglen memorable and suited to what guests want and enjoy. She seems to know everyone around town, from winemakers and bakers to butchers, tour guides and restauranteurs, so her suggestions feel authentic and unique. I haven’t had an experience like this anywhere else. In a time when real relationships and human contact can feel rare, Amber offers a special kind of hospitality. Thanks to Amber and her lovely family for having us. We can’t wait to come back.

The location on the Main Street was handy, with everything we needed within walking distance. My partner and I had a beautiful upstairs room, and all the facilities were clean and well suited. Amber was a great host. The cheese platter, wines and included breakfast were lovely bonuses.

The property is beautiful, with spacious, comfortable rooms, an enclosed balcony for a drink and a lovely lounge with a fire. Amber is such a welcoming host, and there’s attention to detail everywhere, starting with her international breakfasts. This is the best place to stay in Rutherglen. Treat yourselves, you’ll love it. I wouldn’t stay anywhere else.

The breakfasts are amazing, and it feels like a privilege to enjoy them. Every detail of Amber’s hospitality is thoughtful and handled with such precision and sparkle. She’s built her bed and breakfast around family life in a lovely balance. Her cute, creative events have also brought a buzz to the locals looking for another creative outlet during the week. Amber makes connections with businesses in the area, giving guests a broad range of places to visit while staying in her grand, historic accommodation. Thanks again, amber, for opening your home to us.
