The camp kitchen is right by the pool and amenities, so it was easy to keep an eye on the kids while making food or relaxing with an afternoon drink. We took a quick coastal trip with the kids and our van a week ago, and they were so happy there that the parents were happy too. The quiet streets of sanctuary point are surrounded by beaches, with a stunning bay just a short walk across the road. There are plenty of food options for those evenings when everyone's tired after a day by the water. The staff were very accommodating and showed us the cabins, which looked comfortable and clean. We'll keep them in mind for a trip when we don't want the extra work of camping. The park has some age to it, but we found that quirky in a lot of ways. The amenities were clean. The play equipment is run down, though there are so many local options that my kids didn't mind. I don't often leave reviews, but I think the park is worth a visit despite the negative feedback. Sometimes people just need to want to enjoy themselves, while others like to complain.

We stayed at Palm Beach Caravan Park in October 2025. For the price, the stay was okay, but the equipment, communication and safety details need much clearer management. There wasn't enough cutlery or crockery for four people, no pot lids, and no hand broom. We got a reply to our first email, but not our follow-up, even though it raised a genuine safety concern. The kitchenette in the mobile home felt unsafe. Running the oven and stove together tripped the power, and we were told to unplug the oven entirely, so we couldn't cook inside. Nowhere had it been explained that the indoor kitchen shouldn't be used and guests were expected to cook in the shared camp kitchen instead. The emergency contact wasn't much help either. The person on call didn't know the park well enough to offer real assistance.

We booked three nights and left within an hour. When we asked about getting a refund, staff said many people had complained before us and they were “99% sure” there'd be no refund. A pool was advertised, but it wasn't operational, and we only found that out after paying. The campsite felt like a cash grab built on old photos and unsuspecting guests. The pictures online looked decades old and were blatantly misleading. In reality, the place was run down, filthy and seemingly neglected for years. The toilets reeked of urine and were visibly overflowing, and the bins were overflowing too. Basic hygiene and maintenance clearly didn't seem to matter. Even the site map didn't match the campground layout, which says plenty about the lack of care and accuracy. The campsite was next to a dodgy area, and we felt unsafe as soon as we arrived. We've stayed at plenty of two-star campsites and never seen anything this bad. This was the worst campsite I've ever experienced. Avoid it at all costs.

The whole campground had a bad smell, and the bathroom looked like it hadn't been cleaned in weeks. Staff seemed not to care at all. Absolutely disgusting experience. Don't go there!

We went with several families, kids and dogs, and had a great time. The beach is an easy walk away, and the kids loved the pool. The facilities are old, but they were really clean and everything worked. Great value and location.
