Greenlee Cottages

I’d definitely come back. The cottage was bright, with spectacular views wherever you sat, and the breakfast baskets were full of lovely treats and healthy options. A walk around the grounds took in a pond and mountain views, with plenty of peace and quiet right through sunset. And I had the friendliest guard dog, old Reggie 💞

Bring binoculars and have a look through the bird guide they provide. The views across the valley, the wildlife (thankfully nothing hazardous), and the forest rising behind the cottages all made the place feel idyllic. There are lovely plantings around the cottages too. We stayed in the one-bedroom Casuarina Cottage, which was comfortable and thoughtfully laid out. Robyn is a charming host, and Reggie is a real gentleman of a dog, even for someone like me who isn’t much of a dog person. The locally sourced breakfast ingredients were delicious. We were very sad to leave Greenlee Cottages and won’t forget it. It’s one of the best places we’ve stayed anywhere in the world. No negatives from us, and we’d book again without hesitation.

We booked all four cottages at Greenlee for our wedding weekend and had an amazing stay. Robyn made us feel so welcome, showed us around, and pointed out spots for bridal portraits. She even collected us after the reception and decorated our room with “Mr and Mrs” pillow slips and petals, plus some delicious macadamia brittle. The rooms were spacious and beautiful, and the views were stunning. We’d love to return for a quiet getaway.

We stayed for four nights, and it was great value. The accommodation was clean and comfortable, making the most of the beautiful setting, and the breakfast provisions were very good and much appreciated. It’s peaceful and private without being too far from town and the sights. The weather got challenging at times, but our hosts went above and beyond to help us stay safe and supported.
