Trudy at reception was so cheerful and welcoming. The location’s spot on, with easy access to lots of things to see and do nearby, and the roads were a pleasure after driving from Victoria. No dodging potholes for once! The cabin was cared for and clean, with a decent kitchen and comfy beds. I’d happily stay here again 🙂

The cabin was spacious, clean and comfortable, and we slept really well. Shampoo, body wash and a hair dryer were nice to have, and it’s very close to the beautiful Serpentine falls. Staff were lovely and helped me arrange a late check-in. It felt like good value, and I’d stay again if I’m in the area. A couple of things would make a short stay easier: Wi-Fi and Chromecast, since there were only a few free-to-air channels, plus basics like oil, salt and pepper in the kitchen. The kitchen was well equipped otherwise, but cooking with the fry pans was tricky without oil if you haven’t brought pantry supplies.
The bathroom and kitchen areas were spotless, and having a little pool on site was a lovely extra for cooling off. We had a powered site, just a short walk from Serpentine Falls and some beautiful nearby walks. The woman who checked us in was so lovely and made us feel welcome straight away. We absolutely loved staying here and would come back.
The ablution block was probably the best kept one we’ve come across on our camping trips, and reception staff were friendly whether we spoke in person, booked, or called with questions. Our two neighbouring grass powered caravan sites were very generous in size, and we stayed a few nights with friends. It’s a lovely close getaway for us, so we’ll definitely be back. It can get windy. We visited in December, when easterly winds are notorious in the region around Perth. The caravan park lets you know, so just be prepared.
The park is clean and well kept, and from what I saw, campers have good facilities, with dongers as well as sites for tents and caravans. I visited the residential side and thought it was a lovely place to live. The setting near Serpentine falls is beautiful, and you’re guaranteed to see a few gangaroos while you’re there. The pool could use a couple more sun loungers. Residents share it with campers, so the small pool can get crowded sometimes. The solar heating hadn’t been used for a long time, but today the pool was gorgeous, just right for a swim and a cool down. Otherwise, it’s a great place to stay.
