The lakeside location is great, though the neighbours were noisy. The kitchen was clean, but the oven didn’t work. The rest of the apartment needed a proper dust and cobweb clean, and the carpet definitely needs replacing. There was no Wi-Fi, and the upstairs air conditioners leaked water down the walls and struggled to blow cold air.

Our little one couldn’t sleep after seeing a rat run around and enter the apartment. The whole place looked neglected, with maintenance and repairs badly needed. We felt unsafe in the room because masking tape covered the door locks and we couldn’t lock the door. The air conditioning was very weak, and the staircase was a trip hazard with no handrails. We called reception, and they told us to move the sofa bed in front of the door for security, since nobody was around. Even leaving was hazardous: the driveway scraped our front bumper bar. At $240 for a family of three, it was unsatisfactory.

The bedroom TV had nowhere to plug in, and there was no aerial or data connection either. Was it just for show? I have photos as evidence and have requested a refund.

Glenda is a flexible, generous host, and the apartment was a fantastic, comfortable place to stay. It’s simple and fuss-free, with a great kitchen.

We stayed this past weekend with the family and had a great time. The place was nicely clean. Thanks to Tara for a great price and for coming to help us with the aircon. We’ll stay here again.
