Sherbourne Terrace Hotel

After a long drive and a full day at the office in Shepparton, I rang The Sherbourne Terrace Hotel at 5pm to ask about a room. By the time I arrived, Mew had my King room ready and the wifi password for me. We had a lovely chat about her recent trip home with her partner and nephew. Thanks again for the warm welcome, Mew! Sending good vibes to everyone reading this. It’s a great option at a reasonable price if you’re looking for somewhere with a sauna and pool.

I had to wait at the bar while the older woman serving stood back and watched me, leaning on the counter until she decided she was ready. When she finally came over, she asked, “what do you want,” checked my I.D rudely, and poured my drink with a nasty attitude. I returned to order another three or four drinks. The second time, she left me standing there for about ten minutes while supposedly “talking to security.” Security was sitting on the other side of the bar having a drink, and I was told she was “busy.” I’m not impatient, but the service was disgraceful, and even when I was served it was rude. If you don’t like working behind a bar, find another job.

The king bed was comfortable and I slept well. We had a two-night booking in a family room, and it was clean, nicely presented, with everything working as it should. The bathroom was clean too. A couple of things need attention: the bathroom basins are far too small, especially if you’re trying to shave. They should be replaced if there’s a renovation. The pillows also need more firm options. What’s provided now didn’t help me get a proper night’s sleep. Still, the room was clean and presentable, the appliances worked, and the bed was comfortable.

Our accessible room was roomy and comfortable, with a huge bathroom and lots of vanity space. The bed was great too. We’ll definitely stay here next time we’re in Shepparton.
