We’ve been on our East Coast Australia road trip for three weeks and stayed at plenty of campgrounds, some good and many bad. This has easily been the nicest so far. The check-in lady was extremely friendly and helpful, the ensuite washrooms were much nicer than expected, and our site was more level than most of the ones we’ve had. Wish we could stay longer!
Most of the park seems to be permanent residences, all neatly kept, and there are also some camping sites. The cabin accommodation available is modern, with new appliances. It’s a large resort-style park with plenty for families to do. Shared eating facilities are clean and adequate for visiting guests, with four covered barbecues and fixed seating, plus a common kitchen with tables, chairs and appliances. There’s a large pool, toddler pool and play area. The bounce mat is near the bike track and playing fields. It’s close to other tourist attractions, and the large modern bowling club is 450m away.
We’ve stayed in cabins, ensuite sites and powered sites, and every option has been equally excellent. We travel far and wide, and the staff, cleanliness and facilities here are second to none. This is one of the best accommodations in the country. Do yourselves a favour and stay at this amazing resort, you won’t regret it.
There were four of us in the executive cabin, and it was roomy and super clean. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook. We didn't stay long enough to try the park amenities, though they all looked clean, neat, and inviting.
My older kids had plenty to keep them busy with the resort's great facilities, and we liked the setting and location. The cabin, though, felt dated, especially the old bathroom. Fresh sheets were there, but the bunk beds hadn't been made, which surprised me for a resort. A few basics were missing from the cabin too: no iron, ironing board, or hair dryer. I had to use the laundry room to iron, and the washing machine cost $4 a load. Detergent wasn't included, so I bought a $1 sachet from the admin building. Having to go to different places and pay extra just to do laundry was a hassle, especially while keeping an eye on my young kids. For somewhere called a resort, I expected things to be a bit more convenient. Sorting out some of these smaller issues would make a stay better.
