The food at The Heads Hotel is fresh, generous, and consistently delicious, whether you're stopping for a quick meal or staying longer. It's a pleasant place in a nice location, but I found the prices far too high. Four meals at the listed prices came to $91, which would've been fine. Then a Saturday surcharge was added, and because we didn't have the app locals can use, the bill became $108, $17 over the menu prices. We also paid $31 for a schooner of pale ale and three glasses of pop. In my opinion, that's much too expensive too.

We had a lovely family lunch here last Thursday. The river view was beautiful, the music was good, and parking was easy. It's dog friendly, which we loved. Portions were generous enough that I needed a doggie bag, and the food and bar prices were good. We'll definitely return.

The pub has a great feel, and we enjoyed the waterside spot, cold beer, and live music. But the schnitzel and parmy we just got were possibly the worst we've ever had. They seemed like frozen crumbed breast from the local shops. A decent meal shouldn't be that hard to make. It's the Christmas holidays and this place should be doing really well, but the food was a big letdown.
