Horseshoe Bay Resort

The campsites are large, the outdoor kitchen is excellent, and the amenities are always clean and tidy. There’s also a café and restaurant a short walk from the van park. We had a fantastic stay at Horseshoe Bay Resort, with unforgettable views and spectacular sunsets. Sites 39 or 40 are easily the best for watching the sunset. You can also see sunrise over Horseshoe Bay, then walk just minutes across to The Cove Beach for sunset, or take an easy stroll to The Cove Restaurant to relax and enjoy the evening views. The park is dog-friendly, but dogs aren’t allowed on the local beaches. If you’re travelling with pets, Rose Bay Beach is an option at low tide. Horseshoe Bay Beach is amazing for snorkelling: swim only about 10 metres from shore and you can already spot coral and reef fish. It’s a beautiful, relaxed place with great facilities. We’ll definitely be back.

There’s a lovely grassy area out front and a cafe by the beautiful beach. It’s a short walk to the lookout, and I’d do that first because you’ll get hot, then cool off in the sea. There are lots of rocks where you can find some realise too.

It’s a nice little beach for swimming and snorkelling. The better spot is on the right near the rocks, and there’s a sculpture out in the water on that side too. Nearby you’ll find a cafe, a caravan park, toilets and picnic tables. You can also walk to a lookout.
