Comfort Inn & Suites Burwood

The room was dated and very basic, but functional for the price. Check-in was dreadful. The person at the desk had no personality and came across as nearly rude. When I asked about the continental breakfast included in our stay, he said it wasn’t in my record. I showed him a printout confirming it, and he reluctantly wrote a coupon. Thankfully, the young woman at reception in the morning was cheerful at checkout.

It’s a cheap place with decent service and a comfortable double bed that’s actually one bed, not two singles pushed together. The room was clean, though a few roaches were running around, and there was no natural light except in the bathroom. Burwood being voted the most interesting suburb is a massive overstatement, and the location felt like a dump. At least the nearest train station is just a bus ride away. Nothing special, but it does the job if you want somewhere cheap, a comfy bed, and don’t care about the location.

The rooms were clean and tidy, and there was excellent off-street parking. A bus stop right outside gets you to the local railway station for quick connections into central Sydney. The same bus goes into central Burwood, where there are plenty of dining options.

The staff were very pleasant, parking was easy, and it was quiet with no noise issues. Rooms were clean and comfortable, and breakfast was great, with fresh fruit, cereal, yoghurt, muffins, Danish and good coffee. It’s close to transport and attractions. We’ll be back. Thank you.
