The decking was just right for a BBQ, and the ping pong table ended up being the most fun part of our stay at Amaroo. The house was comfortable, with lots to do and cafes close by. Such an idyllic spot for a great weekend away. Thanks!

Amaroo made for a lovely, quiet Easter with friends, tucked away on the shore of Smith's Lake. We had plenty of comfortable living space to hang out together, and the kitchen was great. If you're serious about cooking, though, bring your own sharp knives.
We wouldn't sleep in the downstairs kids' room. It smelled musty, and there were cigarette butts and lighters in the bed, with burn marks across the linen. Apart from that room, the house was a nice place to stay. I'd recommend it if the room is cleaned properly.
The deck had a stunning view across the lake. There were four adults in our group, and the house could easily fit quite a few more. We made a big dinner in the well-equipped kitchen, then played pool and watched movies on cable TV. We had a wonderful time and would recommend it.
We had heaps of fun at the sea beaches, swimming and boogie boarding at Blueys beach, Boomerang beach and Forster. Back at the lake we went kayaking and swimming, and played table tennis and pool. A wonderful holiday.
