We had a very busy night, but the kitchen kept things moving well and the meal was great. I had the Seafood Parmigiana, with thick chicken, crispy chips, salad and pasta, plus two prawns and two scallops under the melted cheese. One of my mates had crumbed scallops and the other chose curried scallops. We went with the Hairy Nose Shiraz, too. The manager at the van park had recommended the hotel for dinner and booked us a table. We were shown to our table after ordering drinks, and got a discount with the caravan park card.

The food was the best part of my stay, and the nearby bottle shop's $10 voucher for a six-pack of beer was a nice bonus. I came through Tasmania expecting little from a rural hotel because rural hotels around Sydney hadn't really impressed me. This place changed my mind. The room was clean apart from a slightly dusty carpet with an old smell, and the bathroom was completely satisfactory. The shared bathroom was clean and looked after, and the communal kitchen and TV room had good equipment.

I forgot to take photos, sorry. It was only my second time staying in a hotel pub, and I was pleasantly surprised by how tidy and clean the room and shared bathrooms and toilets were. The staff were lovely, and it was great to pop downstairs for a cold drink. Thanks very much.

There was even a toaster and microwave in my room. It was clean, tidy and smelled nice. Not a luxury five-star place, but it had everything I needed and a bit more.

The portions were generous and the staff were friendly, so I'd happily come back. This was my first time at the bridge hotel, and both the lemon pepper calamari and seafood platter were great. The gummy shark was the one small letdown, just a little bland.
