Bannisters Port Stephens

The rooms are spacious and comfortable, and breakfast is fantastic, especially as an added bonus these days. The staff are what really make this place stand out. They’re always smiling, friendly and helpful. We’ve had another absolutely wonderful stay and I can’t praise them enough. Look out for James on reception, he’s the best.

This was our third stay at Bannisters Port Stephens, and it continues to be a fantastic getaway. We travel with our dog, and Bannisters is truly friendly to dogs. He can come with us to almost all parts of the hotel, so we don’t have to leave him behind. The team’s service feels warm and genuine. Jack at Julio’s was so friendly that our poolside cocktail hours were a lot of fun.

Breakfast was seriously outstanding, the best continental breakfast we’ve experienced. We followed it with a dip in the infinity pool before checking out late at 11am. The room was clean and looked out onto trees and ocean, and we had a delicious dinner at Julio's beside the infinity pool. Ian took good care of us there. From check-in, Tara at reception made us feel welcome. Thanks to everyone at Bannisters, especially Tara and Ian. We’ll be back!

We spent New Year’s Eve here with family and friends, and it was another really special, memorable holiday. We’ve been coming with our son every year, sometimes twice a year, for the past three years, and each stay has been exceptional. The whole staff team is incredible. Ella deserves a special mention: she worked every day during the NYE period and was consistently kind, warm, happy and accommodating. It made a real difference. The garden walk-out is lovely, and waking up to kookaburras is magic. The beds are so comfortable, and the beautiful rooms make it easy to settle in. The pool is always a highlight, with a lovely atmosphere, and we’ve met lots of other happy families there. It’s very family friendly. There are plenty of facilities and restaurants on site, with stunning beaches and more dining options a short drive away. You could also happily stay put and enjoy everything Bannisters offers. It’s one of our favourite places to travel, and we’re grateful for the consistently wonderful service, especially at New Year. Thanks to the lovely team. We can’t wait to come back soon!
