Village Family Motor Inn

The park is great for kids, and we enjoyed the free BBQ. The pool and spa were in good condition and quite warm. Our room had recently been done up with fresh paint, a new television, bed and air conditioning. I hadn’t seen it before the renovation, so the floor may be new too. The shower may not have been replaced, but it worked fine. The current ratings don’t seem to show the condition of the renovated rooms.

The city view was beautiful, especially at night, and our room was clean. There’s a swimming pool and sauna too. The staff were wonderful, especially Anthony, who gave each customer personal attention. We were completely satisfied and plan to come back next year, even though we stayed only one night this time.

For the price, the room was great, and the place felt clean. I liked the view and the TV had Netflix, which I haven’t found at other budget motels. The facilities were good too. The bed was too soft for me and could be uncomfortable for some people. The bathroom seemed clean, but the tiles and fittings felt really old and need renovating. I checked in around 6 pm and was greeted by a friendly man on staff who gave me the basic information. I’m very happy with the motel, a solid 3 stars. The pool was pleasantly warm, and the towels, floors and beds were clean. Staff were very friendly, check-in and check-out were easy, and the view was great. The heater didn’t get very warm, and the shower water felt slimy, perhaps because the pipes are very old. We came in February 2026 because the Country Club Hotel was fully booked, and this was the only place we could find with a spa. The spa was cold. The sauna was leaking and only reached 60°C instead of 90°C. It was very dark inside with no light, so I couldn’t see what it looked like. It also only runs from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, so using it at night wasn’t an option. If you’re expecting a spa and sauna experience, you’ll be very disappointed.
