The gardens are lovely, and there are sheep, chooks, geese and a peacock that isn't shy. It’s such a peaceful place, easy to sit in a little outdoor nook and lose track of time. We’ve stayed twice now. On our last visit in spring, we used it as a base for exploring the local towns and took an easy day trip to Mt. Hotham for some skiing, with plenty to see along the way. Our two-bedroom unit had a big lounge, a clean kitchen and rooms, and was really good value. The historic main building is worth a look on its own. We’ll definitely be back.

We had a really enjoyable overnight stay. It was freezing when we arrived, but opening the door brought a lovely blast of warm air. The beds were comfortable, with good flannelette sheets, and the towels were good quality.

The cabins were clean and comfortable, and the whole place made a perfect spot for a wedding. We were there for a wedding that went on for a few days, and Stu and Sue did so much to make sure we were comfortable as guests. Nothing was too much trouble. We loved our time there, and I wish I could give it more stars. Thank you.

This place seemed like a ghost town 😳. I stopped for a coffee, but there was no coffee shop and the post office was closed. I’ve never seen a town with so few people around. The houses sit on large plots, with scrapped cars on the lawns.
