The front desk team were friendly, and checking in and out was easy. I didn’t try the pool or gym, though it was nice to have them available. The studio had a decent amount of space and a kitchenette with a microwave, stove, oven, dishwasher, fridge and sink. The bathroom was large and had a washer and dryer, plus a sliding door that opened for some fresh air, though it didn’t lead anywhere. The bed was comfortable except for the hard, uncomfortable join where the two beds were pushed together. I could hear outside and neighbour noise, which got frustrating, especially when someone was making hacking noises. It’s close to the train station, so public transport was easy. The station restaurants put food on sale in the afternoon, which made for a quick, easy dinner. It’s not a five-star hotel, but I’d give it five stars for what it is.

The neighbourhood was quiet, and the room itself was spacious, with a comfortable bed, good blackout curtains and excellent shower pressure. I booked directly with the friendly staff and got an interconnecting room. Crows Nest Metro is a seven-minute walk away, and from there it’s ten minutes into the city. Parking costs $40, but I found plenty of on-street spaces out front. You have to pay for those on weekdays and Saturday mornings. It was $125 per room per night, and I’d stay again.

We had a wonderful birthday weekend, with dinner and a trip to see the musical Guys and Dolls. Getting around was easy, with trains, buses, a supermarket, bottle shops, coffee shops and fast food all a short walk away. From the moment we arrived, the service was five-star, and the room was fresh, clean and well appointed, with more than enough of everything we needed. Off-street parking was excellent. They also let us check out late and leave the car for a couple of hours so we could have a nice brunch in the city. Well done, Quest St Leonards. Give yourselves a pat on the back.

The pool and spa area was really nice and didn’t disappoint. The room was clean, and there’s a shopping area a short walk away, with places to eat nearby and public transport close at hand. We had no trouble with the booking and even got a free room upgrade. Great place to stay in Sydney.
