I stayed one night while travelling. Management was easy to deal with, and the room was comfortable. The second-floor boards squeaked, which could have been an issue, but it stopped early enough. Although the car park wasn’t finished, it fit my 7 metre trailer. The room cooling also handled the 43 degree heat outside without trouble.

The room had a nice cabin feel and was very clean. We stopped here on the way to Adelaide and had a great stay. The owner was friendly, check-in was easy, and everything went smoothly.

There’s a big room with a kitchen and desk, but nowhere comfortable to sit and watch TV. You’re left on the floor or in a kitchen chair, which is a puzzling oversight. The rules are odd too, with instructions not to open certain cupboards or doors and not to use all the aircons. It’s not a fricken air bnb.

As a housekeeper, I wasn’t impressed. Rubbish was left on the floor and there was dirt under the fridge. The bed had a missing leg and the beds were rock hard. The freezer was packed with ice and coming away from the fridge. There wasn’t enough sugar or a hand towel, and the biscuit they supplied was broken.

The owner was very rude and wouldn’t even acknowledge the women coming in. The air-conditioning units in the rooms were noisy and seemed to come off the ark. I won’t stay here again. There are better places to eat nearby. The trotting track has a great bistro, so I’d go there for a meal instead.
