Mcintosh Cottages

We felt thoroughly spoilt at Macintosh cottages. Margaret was kind and thoughtful, and made sure we were comfortable, with breakfast provisions, home-baked cookies and fresh roses in the rooms. The beautiful cottage is within walking distance of the harbour and local shops. We’d highly recommend it.

Margaret was welcoming and friendly, and gave us several ideas for things to do in Strahan. The cottage was clean and nicely presented, with vintage colonial decor, a large clean bathroom and handy off-street parking. It looked even better inside than the online photos suggested. Breakfast came with eggs, fresh bread and condiments. There’s also a DIY laundry, which could be useful for a longer stay. Shops and the main dining area are close by. We’d stay again and have no problem recommending it.

We got a warm, really helpful welcome, including all the information we needed about Strahan and what to see and do. The cottage had everything we needed, from kitchen utensils and a washing machine to board games. It’s a lovely old-fashioned style of stay, with good beds, quality furniture and a new bathroom.

Margaret has put so much thought into making this beautiful little cottage feel welcoming and homely. It’s very clean and has all the amenities we needed, along with lots of lovely extra touches. I only wish we could stay longer. Next time I come, I’ll book McIntosh cottages again. I can’t recommend it highly enough, and I’ll tell everyone I know who’s visiting Strahan.
