We stayed at Crystalbrook Byron for our anniversary with our 5YO and newborn, and loved having everything we needed right at the resort. I’ve worked in luxury hotels and hospitality for over a decade, and can confidently say the experience was flawless, from the messages before arrival through checkout and departure. The rooms, food, staff, and facilities were all deserving of praise, even with refurbishment underway. There was plenty to do: we wandered the rainforest boardwalks, swam, played tennis, and had snacks on the verandah while watching the treetops change from our screened sunrooms in the family suite. The rooms are large, clean, divided into sections, reasonably private, and have ample space and kitchen facilities for a short stay. Staff let us use the resort facilities before and after checkout, and kindly took our 5YO for a buggy ride to the onsite bee hives as we checked out. It made for a wonderful weekend reset, and I’d recommend the resort to anyone wanting a relaxing retreat. One thing to know if you book the family treetop suite: ours was upstairs, which made access with a pram and roller luggage tricky, though staff offered to help.

The rainforest setting made our stay at Crystalbrook Byron Bay feel peaceful and luxurious, and the service was warm and personal from the moment we arrived. Hugh’s leadership really stood out. He’s professional, attentive, and genuinely caring, and made sure we felt welcome and looked after. It’s rare to see management so involved and dedicated to the guest experience. Our suite was spacious and immaculate, the food was superb, and the whole team showed the same high standard of hospitality. We had an exceptional stay and will absolutely return. I’d highly recommend the resort to anyone after a tranquil getaway with outstanding service.

We used the tennis court several times and spent plenty of time in the big, clean pool. They generously provide beach towels, so it’s easy to swap them when they get wet. The resort is beautifully appointed within a rainforest, and the apartments are clean, comfortable, and surrounded by nature. Ours had two lovely balconies and a nice kitchen, plus a washing machine, dryer, fridge, and dishwasher. The restaurant and coffee were excellent too. A special shout-out to Jing, who took our coffee orders in the mornings and was very good at her job. Highly recommended, and well done to management.

The temperature-controlled pool and sauna were both relaxing and well maintained, and the facilities overall were excellent. We spent two nights at Crystalbrook Byron and had a fantastic time. Set among the rainforest, the resort feels peaceful and refreshing, with fresh air and a tranquil atmosphere that made it easy to unwind. The reception team were warm, professional, and welcoming throughout. Flynn in particular was pleasant and accommodating. We highly recommend it.

After 15 years of travel in Australia, this was our best hotel experience. We loved the delicious food and the spotless, spacious rooms, which easily fit our family of four. Yoga, tennis, the sauna, and the pool kept us busy, and the resort’s setting in a quiet nature reserve made the stay memorable. It was outstanding value, and we’re already looking forward to coming back.
