Mantra Legends Hotel

The pool area is lovely and relaxing, and the lobby is inviting and smells nice. Jordan was especially helpful when I raised concerns, organising another room for our next night for a small additional fee. Big thanks to Jordan, 10/10 for service, and to Sara too. Would I return to Legends? Not likely, though I might try another hotel under the Mantra umbrella on my next Gold Coast visit. The location is good, close to the trams and some very nice restaurants. The first room was dated, smelled like a veterinary clinic, and didn't match the website photo. It also had an interconnecting door, and we could hear the person next door opening a can of drink. For the price, that was disappointing. The second room was nicer but still dated and had an interconnecting door. Luckily its bed was on the other side, so noise wasn't an issue. It matched the photo except there was no spa bath, and the bedding was different, which seemed odd. Beds were comfortable with good pillows. Shampoo, conditioner, body wash and body cream were supplied and smelled very nice, but there were no toothbrush, comb or shower cap. Breakfast was okay with good variety, but there was no egg station or chef taking orders, so you couldn't get eggs your way. That was fine for me, though not everyone wants scrambled eggs. The room I chose on their website didn't match the photo, and I thought that was disappointing. The second room was different too, and I've never encountered different bedding between rooms before.

The pool is a relaxing spot, and breakfast had everything we needed and more. Nola in the restaurant was super efficient and really kind with the young children. Reception staff were all very accommodating too. Room 209 was amazing for young kids, especially with no immediate balcony. It's a really short walk to Cavill Ave and even shorter to the beach. We had a really good stay.

The furniture is a little dated and could do with a refresh to match the property. Otherwise, we had a very pleasant stay and I'd gladly return. The ocean view is stunning and really adds to the experience, and the pool is a highlight, inviting and well maintained. Reception and housekeeping staff were consistently professional, attentive and welcoming. The location is ideal.

Reception were very helpful, and I enjoyed the pool and the nice bar and seating area. My room on the 14th floor was large and clean, with a little balcony to sit out on and an ocean view. Had a great stay.
