The room was in such poor shape that I wouldn’t have booked if the online photos had shown what it really looked like. They show modern renovated rooms, but the spa bath photo seems edited to look bright white and new, while our bathroom was yellowed and dated. There were broken items everywhere, including falling-apart furniture, cracked mirrors, and holes in the walls. For nearly $250 a night in a non-peak period, the quality was outrageous. When I complained, the receptionist said only about three of the roughly 800 rooms are modern and match the photos, and those were all booked. I was stuck because there was nowhere else available at the last minute. They only offered an early checkout, with no room change, which made me think the others were just as bad. I’ve stayed in $100-a-night places that were much better. It felt dingy and unkept, almost like a druggie hotel, and I’d tell people to take their money elsewhere.

The staff were very friendly, and the location was so convenient for everything nearby. The rooms and facilities are quite dated and could use a refresh, but if you don’t mind older décor, it’s a solid place to stay in a fantastic spot. We had a pleasant experience.

Meshelle/Mechelle and the young woman who helped us in the evening were both lovely. Thanks especially to Meshelle/Mechelle for making check-in and checkout so friendly and easy. The room was spacious, the bed comfortable, and my son had a blast on the slide. The building and facilities are a bit old, and we couldn’t switch the spa from shower to tap to fill it, but we still enjoyed a nice bath and the view from the room. We were very happy with our stay 😊

The room on the 5th floor gave us a lovely lake view, and there was enough space for our large group: my mum, husband, nephew, sister, child and me. My sister and mum used the pullout couch, the kids stayed in the room with two single beds, and my husband and I had the main bedroom. We came to visit Sea World, and the price was right, with free parking too. The air con wasn’t working when we arrived, but a friendly staff member fixed it while we were at Sea World. I’d stay again.
