Brand New Apartment in North Ryde

A cheerful staff member at North Ryde station noticed us checking which platform we needed and came over to help. She explained where to change for our connecting train and what signs to follow to find the right platform easily. It was a really helpful start to our day travelling by train. Thank you.

This is my regular metro station, and it’s always clean and well looked after. Use door 13 for the elevator. There’s no parking nearby, though. The station is far below road level, so if the elevator is out of order, getting down with a baby and pram is a huge hassle. That’s the only downside.

The staff were really helpful. We left a bag behind while waiting for the train, then came back half an hour later and they’d already stored it for us, with detailed notes for whoever came to collect it. Great service from the new metro.

I haven’t been since the Sydney Metro opened, so this information could be outdated, especially my comment about trains being infrequent. North Ryde Station is handy for Lane Cove River Tourist Park, Macquarie Park Cemetery and Crematorium, and the many offices around the area. There’s a fairly frequent bus connection, plus a separate service to Sydney Olympic Park when events are on. The escalators are very long, and there weren’t always many trains.
