Greenacre Hotel

The room was really pleasant, and that mattress was unbelievably comfortable, like sleeping on a cloud. The bar staff were such a welcoming, friendly team, and I really appreciated the complimentary drink. My only gripe was the cobwebs up near the ceiling, including Charlotte and her huge web above the wardrobe. Clear those out and it earns another star from me! 😜🕷🕸😄

The room was comfortable, clean, and spacious, and we felt safe in the area. Having a grocery store and bottle shop right next door was handy, and it was easy to get around by bus or train. We took public transport into the city on our second day and found it simple and efficient. Service was a real bright spot. Checking in at the bar was easy, the welcome beer was a nice touch, and the staff were friendly, smiling, and approachable. Other guests in the bar and casino were welcoming too, which made for a lovely atmosphere. We arrived late, around 10:30 pm, after exploring the city, and appreciated being able to check in smoothly. The restaurant/pub downstairs is open until 4 am every day. There was no room service during our stay. We didn't get coffee or water refills or fresh towels, even though we left a note asking for basic service only, not a full room clean. The bathroom was very large, but the shower was extremely hot and had barely any pressure, something to keep in mind if you've had a long beach day and need to wash your hair well. It was a comfortable, welcoming stay in Sydney and good value.

The pub and bar are a sizeable part of the property, with gaming pokies, a bar serving a range of cocktails, and light meals and snacks. The rooms are modest in size but have the essentials for a short stay, and ours was tidy, spotless, and well kept. The nightly price is very affordable and in line with what you'd expect around the area.

Greenacre Hotel was decent for a short stay. The room was clean and comfortable enough, the staff were okay, and there weren't any major problems. Nothing particularly special.
