Everything was provided for a luxurious home away from home, and the house has been recently renovated. It made a perfect Blue Mountains weekend escape.

We wished we could've stayed longer. It had everything we wanted, with hiking trails nearby and downtown Leura just steps away. We loved the place.

Leura Lady was very clean, and being so close to Leura Mall was really convenient for our three-night stay. But the website said bacon and eggs, chocolates and milk would be there on the first morning, and the fridge was empty. That was very misleading. They also provide a combustion fireplace, but you have to bring your own firewood.

We left after the first night of our two-night booking in August 2017. The toilet backed up overnight and again the next morning. When we showered, the bathroom flooded, and water bubbled up in the kitchen and bathroom sinks as well as the toilet. The In-House guest book mentioned the same problem as far back as 2008. The owner wasn't forthcoming about reimbursing us for the night we didn't stay, and we never met him. Reaching him was hard from the start too. He didn't answer emails or the voicemail I left 3-4 days before our stay about getting the keys. There were other problems throughout the property. The Breville kettle was black inside with scale and clearly hadn't been cleaned. The microwave didn't heat food through enough. The oven looked easily over 50 years old, had broken parts, and came with no instructions, so I wasn't sure it was usable. The cutlery and knives in the block were unwashed. We went across the road to Westeria Place Cafe just to get a hot drink. A possum living in the chimney kept us awake, and we could smell it when walking into the dining room. The property looks beautiful from the outside, and at first glance inside, but the issues started becoming clear once we settled in and ruined the stay one by one. The location is central, but I wouldn't let that fool you into booking like it did us. Reviews and the main website said basic provisions such as milk, eggs and bacon would be provided for the first night, but there was nothing for us. Unless the property is in this state, I can't recommend staying here. I waited a few days before writing this so I could give a calmer review. Thank you.
