The breakfast was a real highlight, with lots of choices and delicious food. Our room was comfortable and clean, and the staff were kind and professional throughout our stay. The smooth kiosk check-in and check-out also saved us from waiting in line. We stayed at the Mercure Hotel in Sydney from 13-16 January 2026 to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. The location, just a five-minute walk from Central Station, made it easy and stress-free to get around by train, tram, metro, or bus. We were especially touched by the champagne, chocolates, and beautifully written anniversary card waiting in our room. It made us feel cared for and made our special occasion feel truly celebrated. The indoor pool was far too cold for us to use, which was the only real downside. Otherwise, it was an enjoyable stay. Our room was ready early, and even though it was right beside the pool entrance, we couldn't hear any noise. The LED room lights were cool, and breakfast had a good buffet selection. I'd stay here again.

We had a lovely meal at Eve's Bar. The food was delicious, portions generous, and prices very fair. From arrival to departure, our stay was wonderful. Marie, if I'm remembering her name correctly, greeted my family and me at the front desk with a lovely smile and a fantastic attitude that made us feel at home.

The gym is tiny, with no more than half a dozen machines squeezed together. On the useful side, there are three washing machines and three driers. A cycle costs A$4, taking 30 minutes for a washer and 45 for a drier. The rooms were spacious and clean, with comfy beds and a good city view. It's also well located, about 10 minutes from the metro or trams.

The staff were super accommodating, and breakfast was really great, with a nice range and good quality. My room was clean, comfortable, and fantastic, and being near Central Station made getting around very easy. It was a pleasant stay and great value for the location. I highly recommend it and look forward to coming back.
