The beer was cold and the staff serving us were good, though it was a bit expensive. I thought the steak frites at $28 was reasonable, but the meat was quite tough and had a fair bit of gristle, so I wouldn’t order it again. With mushroom sauce and a pint of 1664, the bill came to $51.

Saturday dinner at the Native Rose with friends and their kids was a hit. The staff were welcoming and friendly, and everything came out quickly. The pan-seared salmon special with fregula salad was outstanding, while the chicken schnitzel, tacos, and burgers were all solid favourites. I was thoroughly impressed with the food. It’s dog-friendly and right beside a park, so the kids could play while we had a drink. I’d eat here again in a heartbeat.

You can throw a ball for the collie in the park next door, then come back for a beer with people who have Labrador energy. It’s a great place for live music and a fantastic monthly comedy show. Plus, you can hang out and have a drink with the owners. How many bars offer that?

We had an awesome Sunday lunch in the sun beside the park. There was roast beef or a 1.2kg t-bone 💯, served with Yorkshire pudding, plus a special seafood pizza. A great venue, and we recommend it 🥰

Found this great pub while catching live music on a Friday afternoon. Friendly, quick service, a good mix of people, and dogs are welcome. A nice spot for a few beers and to unwind at the end of the week.
