Sydney Riseon Hotel

The staff were helpful and friendly throughout, and the location was really convenient. Our room was clean and comfortable. The facilities were good, though a few small tweaks could improve them. I had a pleasant stay at RiseOn Hotel Sydney and would recommend it.

This experience was deeply disappointing and ruined our stay. The communal bathroom and toilet smelled of urine, the bathrooms were unclean and had poo, and there was mould in the fridge. The shower and toilet were outside the bedrooms, despite what the website photos seemed to show. We were refused both a room change and a refund, while the front desk girl played dumb the whole time. Management showed no integrity and didn't seem to care once we'd paid. Poor conduct, poor standards, poor business. This hotel should be shut down, and we're taking it to NSW fair trade. The good reviews are made up and aren't real. It's false advertising, the website photos aren't of this hotel. Do not book, it's a health hazard.

For the price, it was about what I'd expect, and actually better than the other reviews had led me to think. Check-in and checkout staff were quite polite. The room had a slightly odd smell, and the air conditioner dripping into the shower was really annoying while I was trying to sleep.

I should've looked at Google reviews before booking this place through another site. They asked for a $100 cash deposit, and because I don't have a physical card, getting the cash took me half an hour. The shared bathrooms were low quality and outside the room, although they were advertised as private. Toiletries were basic, with no toothbrush kit, grooming items, or shirt ironing equipment. The front service staff member was polite, but the stay wasn't smooth or pleasant. It felt more like a boarding house or hostel than a hotel. I could say more, but I won't.
