The Pod Sydney - Hostel

Of the places I’ve stayed in Sydney, this has been the best hostel. It’s spotless and comfortable, with very friendly staff, especially the Thai staff. Towels, tea, and coffee are free, and there’s also an iron, kitchen supplies, lockers, and laundry. The toilets and shower room were super clean. I could store my luggage before check-in and after check-out, too. It’s in Sydney Central, just across the junction from World Square, where there are lots of restaurants and Coles. I’d definitely recommend staying here and would come back if I visit Sydney again.

The hostel felt cozy, and the kitchen had everything I needed. It was clean and looked modern. One thing to know: there’s a club underneath, or possibly below, the hostel, and its bass-heavy music played loudly until 3am. Noise-cancelling earphones should help. I still highly recommend the place.

The location is right in the city centre, close to everything I wanted to explore, and I’ll definitely return to The Pod Sydney. The pods are spacious, almost like a small double bed, with lots of storage, and they feel private and cozy. I’ve stayed in more than ten hostels around the world, and this is the best bed space I’ve had. The whole place was spotless and comfortable, and every staff member I met was kind, patient, and thoughtful. One staff member even took time to show me how to get oil stains out of my clothes and helped me find a good place to hang them to dry. I felt really well looked after. I love this hostel and highly recommend it. Thanks for such a wonderful stay.

The location is a real plus, right in the centre and an easy walk to trains and buses. I’ve just finished a three-day stay and was mostly happy with the hostel. Service was always friendly, and the laundry on site was reasonably priced. I used it before leaving. The beds were okay, though not especially comfortable, and the thin blanket felt scratchy rather than like washed linen. The showers could be better too: water gets across the floor, and there’s not much space for clean or used clothes. Small bottles of shampoo and soap are available at reception, and towels are included. It’s a quiet hostel with a mostly Asian crowd, so don’t expect a party atmosphere.
