The Manor

We were left really disappointed by the meal. After waiting over an hour, the waitress asked if we wanted anything else. When we said we were still waiting for our food, she was surprised and went to check the kitchen. We waited another 30 minutes before asking a different waitress, who said she'd look into it. A little later our original waitress came back and apologised, saying she'd completely forgotten to order our food. We said we'd still have it, but then she told us three of our dishes were completely unavailable. They did comp our drinks, which was nice since we'd each had one, but more than two hours and no meal was a letdown, especially as the food looked lovely. We went to the Manor Restaurant for a birthday meal. The venue itself was great and accommodating for our little family, including our little one. Staff were friendly and the atmosphere was welcoming.

I've been here about four days with a few more to go, and the service from both the hotel and restaurant has been AMAZING. The food at the restaurant was genuinely perfect, and the ambience was so cool, with the sweetest waiter and waitresses. The hotel feels vintage, pretty, and peaceful, in a prime location with lots of good restaurants and stores nearby, plus tourist spots and places to relax a little further away. It's beautiful in full sun and pouring rain alike, and the rain and fog feel mystical on wet days. I'm grateful for the experience and want to come more often. Thank you all!

Only seven tables, but our meals took nearly an hour to arrive. They were fish or meat, frozen chips, and packaged salad leaves. There was no pace in the kitchen, as far as I could tell. Disappointing wait, and I won't be going back.

The meals were delicious and very reasonably priced, and shops and other amenities were only a short stroll away. The owners were warm, friendly, and welcoming. Staying at The Manor at Mt Tamborine for a few days was lovely. The old-fashioned elegance of the rooms and restaurant felt like stepping back in time. We really enjoyed it and will definitely return.
