We booked three weeks ahead and completed online check-in two days before arrival. When we got to the hotel around 3pm, it took at least 30 minutes to get a room key. Then we found other guests, young girls, already in the room. So much for guest safety. Reception said the hotel was booked out and had no room for us, and that we'd be sent somewhere else. That's the last thing you need after a long drive. The alternative wasn't what we wanted, with no heated pool and no good leagues club next door. Be careful booking here. Completely incompetent, with very, very nonexistent service. We heard nothing from management. About the reply: it wasn't signed by anyone. On top of what happened at the hotel, we also weren't given the right number of nights in the rewards system, two instead of one. The reply just shows us you really don't care about your guests.

The gym was well equipped, with a rower, bike, treadmill, pin-loaded multi-gym, free weights, and yoga equipment. Everything worked well and was easy to use. The pool was gorgeous, and having towels provided was a nice touch, especially since other places with pools haven't provided them. The grounds were well maintained, with lush green grass across the adjacent footy field. The town's high achievers were featured in a history display along the field, which showed a real sense of pride. Being right next to the leagues club gave us plenty of dining choices, from pub-style meals with daily specials to a cafe with everything you'd want with tea or coffee. This place left me with a really positive experience and high expectations for service, so I'd consider all mercure hotels in future travels. Special thanks to the employees at mercure and West's leagues club for the hospitality and warm welcome. See you guys next trip 🙏 I gave it 9 out of 10 because I think there's always room to improve, even though they met and exceeded my expectations.

The beds were quite firm, which wasn't ideal with my back injury, so I'd rate it 9.5/10 rather than 10/10. Even so, the stay was excellent from check-in through check-out. The rooms were spacious and looked brand new, with homey touches like a coffee machine and filtered water. The shower was the best we've ever had in a hotel. The large pool had accessible steps and a handrail, with lots of sun lounges and chairs. There's direct access next door to the leagues club for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. A five-star hotel with all the features.

After a family funeral, we booked the two-bedroom suite for our small grandson and it was just right. It had a full bathroom, a huge living area, and two very comfortable king-size beds. The location was convenient and the staff were wonderful. I highly recommend this hotel.

We had a good night's stay at Mecure Hotel Tamworth. The car park out front was good, and the amenities were quality. We used the pool and gym too. The restaurant wasn't open for dinner during our visit, but we ordered room-service breakfast and it was tasty. The hotel felt very secure, with keycard doors and reception open 24 hours.
